In 2021, we signed a contract to design, supply and install a 1,511m² river marina, including parking for 50 pleasure boats, and 2 large parking for 2 large boats of 50 meters each. The marina is made up of 2 parts, a part in a lightened aluminum structure for parking small boats, and a reinforced steel structure for parking large boats.

 

Our partner for this project is a major manufacturer of marina structures, and sports and aquatic activity equipment, based in southern China. Among the top 5 marina manufacturers in China. With 30,000 square meters of industrial park and office dedicated to their activities.

 

Their roles in tandem with our company manufacture and provide parts and equipment for the project, and oversee the installation of the structure in Congo. For reference, the marina structure manufacturer’s technician has already been to Kinshasa in 2020 on the site, and knows the site well.

 

This project presenting rather specific hydraulic technical characteristics, we had to make an access bridge more than 26 meters long that could go up and down 6 meters during the floods of the river. The marina structure follows the same system of ascent and descent over 6 meters depending on the water level of the river.

The marina structure can have houses or even a swimming pool on it depending on the needs of the project.

 

The marina structures come in 2 types, pontoon structure plus aluminum and wpc, which is the most resistant and aesthetically more upscale, and the 2nd type is pontoon float and protection for small pedestrian crossing structure or walkway to connect 2 points above water or as jet ski parking.
